Christians Someone Bring Us Together

  • Mood:

Christians Speak Out. When will the nastiness in Washington stop? When will someone bring us together and stop splitting us apart with partisan politics? Thanksgiving is one week away and Christmas, the holiday of peace, goodwill and the Christ child's birth, is a month away.
As a youth worker since the 1970's I have always focused on my young people and let Washington politics do their thing. It has been successful for our youth. Now I worry about their future.

I am not sure what to do.

Ralph - your comments on previous post are worth a new blog entry.

Thank you.

For a starter on Ralph's Blog. Maybe Christian youth need a hero?

Who has been recently described as a person of "faith, hope, courage and intrigue"? and was featured in "The Chest of Vision"? His courage, faith and commitment to his cause makes him a true role model for Christian youth.

See "The Chest of Visions" to learn more about this special teenager.:)

Saw this on Twitter today and thought it was worth repeating ... "Youth need a hero today - hero being someone to bring us together in the modern world. Someone who is one of their peers. I think it is from their generation, not we in the 60-70's generation, that will bring us the hero."

It's time we Christians should understand our strength and work more the growth of our religion. Faith is what keeps all the Christians together, image background removal service and you should work to spread this faith to the whole world.

It is hard to talk about faith for people my age (am 24). It is not something my peers talk about. I do want to say that my reading of "The Chest of Visions" and the example of Mattpaul standing up for his faith has helped me.

I am also trying to find a role to play in the Gun Contriol debate. It is not "Christian" but needs a "Christian influence". Any thoughts, anyone?

Thank you Alex. We have not heard from you in a while. The Gun Control debate is not a Christian topic, per se, but Christians should take a position. I will be visiting one of the rallies tomorrow under the "March for Our Lives" movement. It is a local rally, not the big one in Washington.

We have been writing about the need for the partisanship in this country to lesson and for compromise solutions to emerge. This would meet the concerns you are expressing.Perhaps tomorrow is a first step.
